- I am interested in wearing contact lenses every day. How long does it take to get used to them? Depending on your eye sensitivity and whether you choose soft or rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, it may take only a day or it could take two weeks or more for your eyes to adjust to the lenses. Some people’s eyes never adjust, but that’s rare.
- Are contact lenses difficult to care for on a regular basis? There are certain steps you need to take to ensure that your eyes stay healthy and your contacts last as long as possible.
- Can a lens get lost behind my eye and cause damage? No. At worst, you might have trouble finding it under your upper eyelid if you rub your eye and dislodge the lens from its proper position. If necessary, our optometry practice can help you locate and remove the lens.
